  • which is not significantly different from previous estimates based on the evaluation of fitness components in MA lines of A. thaliana
  • alternatively, the proportion of deleterious mutations among mutations in coding regions can be estimated from sequence comparisons between A. thaliana and A. lyrata
  • using that information, the estimated genomic deleterious mutation rate is 0.14 ± 0.04 per generation
